Inspired by their patients seeking healthier looking skin, SkinMedica was founded by pioneers in the science of skin rejuvenation. Its co-founder, the renowned dermatologist Dr. Richard Fitzpatrick, had the vision to develop a better way to slow the aging process and unlock the potential of the skin to heal from within; and in 1999, the groundbreaking scientifically-based skin care line called SkinMedica was born. At SkinMedica, the team dedicated years of research to formulate advanced skin care products to deliver optimal results for our patients and the physicians who care for them.
Ever since SkinMedica was born in 1999, it started a reform in skin health that continues to fuel the scientific research, innovation, and transformative results. In the following years, they continue to conduct studies focused on the development of effective and innovative skin care products. SkinMedica began the development of growth factor technology with a patent issued for TNS or Tissue Nutrient Solution a change in age defense science. In 2013, SkinMedica was acquired by Allergan, a global healthcare company. Before the acquisition happened, SkinMedica has been focused on creating innovative skin care products that can treat and renew the skin for over a decade.
